Now that our SGM has approved proceeding with Te Korōria construction, we have taken a significant step forward! The next step is to get final sign off from the Diocese (because they own the land and all buildings), and we are in the process of finalising the loan agreements and building consent. We are expecting those to go smoothly. Our estimated timeline should see the work beginning on the hall complex (actual diggers and builders on site) in September!!! If you have been considering whether to donate to this build (either now or in the future), please let us know, as it will really help with our financial planning for construction. Please keep this project in your prayers for funding and as we continue to develop all the missional opportunities this building will support.
40 HOUR FAMINE
40hr famine challenge time is almost here! We have a world vision rep coming to inspire us at our 10.30am service on 13 June. To sign up you can follow the link below or follow the link on Karori Anglican’s Facebook page.
ST MATTHIAS (MAKARA) SERVICE
This Sunday we are holding a 10am service at
St Matthias. Rev Alison Camplin will be presiding.
At its last meeting Vestry celebrated God’s goodness after Te Korōria was supported by the congregation at the Special General Meeting. Building consent is hoped for later this month. Vestry received a number of Health and Safety Plans for Karori Anglican and will be working with the building contractor to ensure safety on our worksite once construction commences, expected end of August. Please continue to pray for this project.

A FEW THINGS
A big shout out to Hamish and Samson of Sticks & Stones Landscaping for their generous donation of a trailer load of topsoil! Thank you!
Firewood is available for parishioners to collect from the trailer parking area behind the Parish offices.
KARORI ANGLICAN CHURCH AWAY WEEKEND
Our Church Away Weekend (the first one in some years) was held in March at Palm Grove, Paraparaumu. All who attended had a fantastic time and thoroughly enjoyed the great venue and speaker. Given the success of this event, it has been decided that we will run it every 2 years (alternatively) with New Wine for January 2022.
GIFT OF STOLES – REV DAVID JONES
Mrs Jennifer Jones has kindly gifted seven stoles from her late husband David to St Mary’s.
This is a very timely and appreciated gift as our previous stoles were destroyed in the Vestry fire.
Thank you Jennifer.
Until our new Mind Health counsellor arrives,
we recommend Lower Hutt based Kirstie Wilton. Kirstie is available through her website www.revivedthinking.co.nz and offers in-person, online and phone counselling services.
We have some ‘devotional books’ available which you are more than welcome to borrow. You can pick up the books from the gathering area on Sunday. Before borrowing the books, we kindly ask that you fill out your contact details on the form which will be provided.
