Hiroshima Day—6 August
World Peace Day—reflect on our responsibility for peace making. Our day of prayer for peace remembering the great harm in war and nuclear weapons. Join in silent prayer Tuesday 7-9.30 am and 5.30-7 pm in St Mary’s church.
Thinking Ahead Living Well seminar—thank you to all who helped serve, made soup and welcomed our guests. Couldn’t have done it without you.
Parish Dinner— thank you to all who made the dinner such a success! To the hosts, set up team, glass-washers, tea-servers, performers and planners, each contribution was valuable.
We rejoice with Flora as she was baptised this weekend. Please keep Flora in your prayers.
Farewell (for now!) to the Robinson family
Alice, Jim, Emma, Katherine and little bump are returning to the UK in August (though we may see Jim around occasionally for work!). They have been a blessing to our church family in many ways, and we would like to send them off well, and celebrate their time with us with a shared lunch (in the SMASH lounge) on the 18 August following the 10.30am service. No need to RSVP, just join us, and bring lunch to share.

Do you want to help others?
Love N Stitches do just that with love and laughter.

Next meeting 10 August at the church office. Everyone Welcome.
Special General Meeting
We will be holding a SGM on the 25 August at noon for those on the Electoral roll to vote on these variations. You can also cast your vote after the 9 am service.

Come and join us for fish and chips. Enjoy catching up with friends and some games for the kids. Please invite along friends, family, basically anyone who might be keen to hang out with us and meet new people and have a night off cooking! 30 August, 5.30-7 pm, at St Mary’s
St Marys Playgarden is Happening!
There are exciting new develoments coming over the next few months to the current office lawn area. Some new play equipment is going to be installed including swing, climbing equipment and a wendy house.
This is stage one of a joint project with SMASH to improve the outdoor environment, to make it a welcoming place for everyone in our community. Once the play equipment is installed, we will be having a launch event. The following stages of the project will be focussed on planting and landscaping, through a group of us (SMASH, ECEC and KAC) gardening together.
Over the next few weeks you will see some ground preparation work happening, equipment is scheduled to be installed and operating by October.
If you are keen to be involved, or have any questions, please contact Kate Harvey-Green, Tabatha Longa, or Yvette Michalska.
