QUIZ NIGHT & AUCTION FUNDRAISER – WE NEED DONATIONS FOR AUCTION ITEMS!
On Friday 23 September we are hosting a Quiz Night as a fundraiser for Te Korōria. We will be auctioning some great prizes and we need your help to find them!
Please have a think and get in touch with Kate or Heidi (as soon as you can), if you have an idea of something you could offer.
- Does your company produce something that they might donate for us to auction? (This is a great way to market your company to the community)
- Do you have a family bach somewhere that a stay could be offered?
- Do you have a service you could offer like gardening/painting/lawn mowing/cleaning/etc?
- Are you a kitchen whizz and could you offer some baking at an agreed time, or a meal at a date to be agreed?
- Are you a student willing to offer your gardening or lifting skills?
- Do you have something at home that you would be able to loan for a period of time – like a trailer/an exercise machine/a campervan…..
The possibilities are endless. Also start telling your friends about the night, the aim is to invite as many people as possible from outside of KA as possible!
OUR NEW YOUTH INTERN ARRIVES THIS WEEKEND!
Ben arrives this weekend from Germany, so look out for him this Sunday, say hi and make him feel welcome!

LATEST TE KORŌRIA UPDATE
Despite the bad weather this week, our windows have been fitted in the Counselling rooms and where the SMASH office will be. It is great to get this part of the building watertight and then interior work can start! Also once the windows are in, the exterior cladding can start to go on. Thank you to those who have returned gift brochures for fit-out, or made donations online. That is really helpful for our planning, we have received over $16,000 towards fit-out already as well as people’s ongoing regular donations towards the building costs. Do please continue to take these brochures and encourage any friends/family and neighbours to get onboard and help us complete the fit-out.
