ECE Lease Agreement
We are delighted to announce that we have agreed to lease our Early Childhood space to Aurea Preschool & Nursery, who will open their centre here from March 2026.
Aurea is a privately-owned childcare provider with two other centres in Wellington. Their name, Aurea—Latin for “golden”—is inspired by the Golden Blossoms of the rare New Zealand Golden Pōhutukawa Tree. Our centre will be known as Aurea St Mary’s.
Aurea’s philosophy blends literacy and numeracy foundations with imaginative play, time in nature, and meaningful social connections. They are committed to working relationally with us as a church, honouring the heritage of childcare on this site, and incorporating Godly Play into their curriculum.
We warmly welcome Aurea Preschool & Nursery into our community and look forward to the wonderful opportunities this partnership will bring for children and families.
