Pastoral Care 101 Course:

This is a one day training event to upskill pastoral workers with some great skills. This training is designed for anyone in a pastoral or caring role (pastoral carers, ministers, chaplains, youth workers, etc).

Topics include:
• The purpose of pastoral care
• The power of the relationship.
• Self-awareness
• Chauffeuring and journeying with a person
• Listening Well – 5 types of listening
• Turning a chat into a pastoral conversation
• How to ask great questions
• Working with those with higher needs or at risk
• Caring without drowning
• Tying it together
