Tonight—Nine Lessons and Carols
Tonight is the first of our special Christmas services, Nine Lessons and Carols, 7.30 pm. Also put a note in your diaries for 13 December. This is our Christmas Nativity and Carol service at 10.00 am, followed by a sausage sizzle. Note there will be only one morning service.
Christmas Services Advertising Cards
We have printed cards advertising our Christmas services, please give these away to friends, family and neighbours so they can share the promise of Christmas too.
Mid-week Services
Our regular mid-week services are Wednesday 10.00 am and Thursday 10.30 am. Please note that there will be no 10.30 am service on Thursday,
10 December but you are welcome to join in the Marsden Lower School Christmas Toy service at 10 am. The last service for the year will be on Thursday, 17 December.
Christmas Carollers Wanted!!
Do you want to bring some joy to the people in Wellington Hospital this Christmas? Join others to walk around the wards, A&E, ICU etc singing Christmas carols on Christmas Eve. Meet in the foyer of the new hospital at 7pm. All ages and singing abilities welcome! It takes about an hour, refreshments served afterwards. For information contact Chris 4762235
ADOPT-A-PET DAY
We are hosting for the Wellington SPCA another neighbourhood adopt-a-pet day here at St Mary’s. Cats, kittens, dogs, puppies, rabbits and rats will be available for you to meet and adopt this Saturday 12 December,
10 am-2 pm.
No Appointment Required
Remember—John’s office door is open on Tuesdays 3.30—5.00 pm for parishioners to talk to him. Not available if it is the 5th Tuesday of the month.
Celebrate Advent with Peace, Hope, Joy, and Love
You are invited to contribute to the Advent displays by placing a small object in the designated area that depicts the theme of the day:
13 December—Joy,
20 December—Love.
Objects can range from a favourite text, copy of a photo, flower, golf ball, etc. Use your imagination and be creative. Please note, no items of value please as security cannot be guaranteed, and not too large.

Stamps from your Christmas mail.
Rather than discard those stamps, please consider saving them for Anglican Missions and place in the box at the back of the church. Leave plenty of paper around the stamps when tearing from the envelope as the stamps are sold on paper. Stamps from any country are welcome throughout the year.
Clothes Wanted:
Clothes for a boy aged 8. Any items gratefully received, such as new underwear and socks, new or used shorts, tee shirts, trousers and tops. Please label these for the attendion of Chris and leave in the gathering area. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
Arts Encompassing 2010
This will be happening 5-19 March 2010. Entry forms are available from the Cathedral.
